Comme vous avez pu le pressentir, un petit vent de changement souffle
doucettement du côté de geolllibre.
Notamment, j'ai tenu compte de bien des conseils qui m'ont été prodigués
de vive voix, dans le milieu des informaticiens Libres.
Un très-très gros inconvénient de la liste historique sur free.fr est
qu'elle n'est pas archivée; donc elle n'est pas recherchable
(gouglable), ce qui ôte beaucoup d'avantages et d'esprit communautaire
ouvert.
Du coup, suivant d'avisés conseils, j'ai créé une nouvelle liste chez un
hébergeur Libre, respectable et respecté, freelists.org:
//www.freelists.org/list/geolllibre
Son fonctionnement est extrêmement similaire à celui de celle de chez
free.fr, MAIS elle est archivée:
//www.freelists.org/archive/geolllibre/
Oui, il n'y a que peu de choses pour le moment; mais les archives de la
liste free.fr devraient y être importées sous peu.
J'enverrai aux administrateurs de freelists.org la liste des abonnés de
la liste de chez free.fr afin de transférer les abonnements; si vous ne
le désirez point, manifestez-vous.

As you may have guessed, a few things are happening now, in our small
geolllibre community.
I have had numerous advices from Free computer scientists, about how to
develop Free/Open-Source software with a community.
One of the major drawbacks of the historical free.fr mailing list is
that it is not archived; therefore, it cannot be searched (google
ranking non-existent). This is a serious obstacle to the development of
an open community spirit.
So I followed some enlightened advices, and I just created a new list at
a Free and respected host, freelists.org:
//www.freelists.org/list/geolllibre
The way this list works is extremely similar to the way the one at
free.fr, BUT it is archived in real-time:
//www.freelists.org/archive/geolllibre/
At the moment, not much was said, yes; but the archives from the free.fr
mailing list should be imported shortly.
I will send to the administrators of freelists.org a list of the
subscribers of free.fr. If you don't want to be subscribed to the new
list, please let me know.
Another drawback was the use of the French language: we are here a
majority of French fellows, but as things are going in geolllibre now,
adopting English as the main communication language on the list is
certainly preferable. Although we may still write in any language:
we're Free, after all...
