But the stars could be revolving around the Earth or the Sun. Marc. Well yes 180 million miles would be a "dot near a point" in 3 light years or more.. not a spot of difference. Dr Neville, Your explanation seems to be closed to mine: I believe the aether is rotating around the Earth, carrying all the heavenly bodies, in a period of 23h 56m It seems to be an angular motion. The Sun, at the same time, in a yearly motion, is going up 23.4 degs and down 23.4 degs (total of 46.8 degs) from the celestial equator and lightly backwards to the direction of the aether. This yearly motion by the Sun cause the (solar) day to be 24h (+/- 15 s.) As for the stars, we differ in opinion. I believe everything in Creation is interlinked, perhaps not directly but always tied in a way or another. That's why I believe that the stars' aberration in tied with the yearly motion of the Sun. But the stars could be revolving around the Earth or the Sun. ----- Original Message ----- From: Neville Jones Sent: 1 septembre 2007 09:12 To: geocentrism@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: [geocentrism] Re: Oscillation of Sun or Universe? Marc, The motion of the heavenly bodies seem to me to be caused by a self-sustaining interaction between the body and the incompressible aether. The Sun's 'real' motion is not up and down, but the traversal of an orbit which is set within the aether (and inclined to the celestial equator at 23.4 degs). The Sun therefore travels around the World each day, taking slightly longer than the stars due to the fact that the Sun is actually moving around its orbit in the opposite sense to the direction that the orbit rotates around the World. This fully explains why the Sun gradually rises and falls in the sky, causing the seasons. My opinion is that the stars are not tied with the Sun. Dr Neville, It is my understanding that the Sun, Moon, planets and stars are all being carried daily by the aether and/or by forces in the aether. Thus the Sun's daily orbit around the Earth is not a movement of its own, it is a movement of the aether. The (real) movement of the Sun is a north-south oscillation; this oscillation affects the Moon, all the Planets and the stars. This could be the real explanation for the star's aberration found by Bradley. Movement of the Sun around its orbit explains the seasons, but the stars (all of them) do exhibit something called aberration, which is best described as being tiny elipses. According to my knowledge, the positions of the stars don't move all year around relative to Earth, while the position of the Sun does move. So the universe cannot oscillate north-south in a yearly motion; only the Sun can do that relative to both Earth and stars. The Sun can oscillate north-south while orbiting daily around the Earth. The yearly oscillation explains for the seasons.
