The importance of the Copernican model is that it makes the mathematics way
simpler.
The copernican model was with the same circular motions and even more epicycles
than the Ptolemeus model.

If you had any scientific education at all you would neither read nor send such
uneducated drivel.

Your correspondent does not understand the term, "scientific."

First - the Bible is completely unsubstantaited - you might as well quote the
King Arthur legends. Second - it's totally irrelevant whether the Earth is seen
as moving or fixed. The only thing that matters is the RELATIVE motion of one
body against another - that's what Einstein is all about

Einstein assumed the World to be orbiting the Sun; he did not in any way, shape
or form prove it to be doing so.

The importance of the Copernican model is that it makes the mathematics way
simpler.

Your correspondent clearly does not understand the mathematics involved in
either system, or s/he would not make a statement that it contrary to the truth.

A "fixed Earth - moving universe" model is totally unworkable mathematically.

Nope.

There is great elegance in the Earth revolving around the sun solution. But it
doesn't matter - they both move in the same way relative to each other
regardless of your point of view. If you were on the Sun you would see the
Earth revolving around the sun.
To say the Earth is fixed and the sun revolves around it is as ridiculous as
saying the moon is fixed and the earth revolves around it. In relative terms
that is another solution but very complex and inelegant.
Please don't send me this psycho babble voodoo science anymore - it really
****** me off."

Funny how so many adopt this knee-jerk reaction to things that they do not
comprehend, but which they inherently dislike. If s/he wants to debate it (and
teach us how daft we all are here), then I hereby invite this person to join
our humble forum.

Neville.

Answer:
"Only when we hit a nerve, does this kind of emotional reaction come forth.
You've challenged his religious Idol, that is, false science.
First - substitute "evolution science" for "Bible" and finish the sentence.
Second - "irrelevant"?! He knows how relevant it would be if the Earth is
shown to be stationary after centuries of theoretical science (oxymoron) has
assumed the issue settled and then that Einstein buried the issue forever with
his juvenile "thought experiments" about "relativity".
Heliocentricity makes the math simpler?! What a joke! Whole new "reconstructed
mathematics and physics" have to be created for each of the seven
observation-denying assumptions that are built into the Pharisee Religion's
Kabbalic universe...which he thinks is not in the picture at all, and
everything involved on his side is altruistic "secular science". He is in for
a big surprise. May God grant him the grace to change when the time comes when
that option will be given to the whole world."
