- Like I said in my post of the thread on Geocaching.com. The guy has indicated that he is sorry for stealing the bugs and is making amends by putting them back in the next few weeks. If we create a big stink about it he may get frightened to meet a cacher on the trails and end up throwing away the bugs instead of putting them in a cache. Can we not give the guy a few weeks to make good on his intended action before threatening legal and other punishment. Perhaps the guy is going through a twelve step type program. If he was an alcoholic we would give him a break for fessing up no?

What legal action do you suggest? I think the predominate law enforcement view is that if you leave something in the woods, don't come crying to us when it turns up missing.
