Some of the caches are attached to the signs.

Why would the caches have to be relocated or archived just because the signs are gone? The info about the tree could be placed on the cache page. Even with no info it's still a cache by a tree.

To all of you who have inquired about this series:
The Missouri Botanical Garden would like to keep the caches in the TREEmendous series in place. They have heard from most of the land managers. All those who have replied have agreed to leave the signs and caches in place. They expect agreement from the others as well. However, MBG does not intend to repair or replace signs which are damaged or lost. The net result is that the caches in the series will likely remain until something happens to the associated signs. At that point, individual cache owners will relocate or archive the affected caches.

BTW, thanks to all the SLAGA members who agreed to own these caches. And to all of you who've come out to visit them. Hope you enjoyed the trees!
Tom
