That's generally true, Bernie, but sometimes they have really good prices, even hard to beat on the Internet. I bought my Oregon through 17 Street Photo in Manhatten shortly after it hit the market, have seen it cheaper at the big box stores since then. Between the two of us, she should be able to find a decent deal. I taught that class and thought she would become an avid cacher. We had a lot of fun despite the snow. I have no GPSrs for sale, but suggest they check Cabelas, Bass Pro, Craiglist and so on for what's available. Good luck! She was quite taken with it. Does anyone have a GPS for sale? Looking for a Garmin etrex legend or one that can download caches from a computer. Actually her mom & dad want to try it well, so a second one might be wanted. Or, anyone know of where they are selling for good prices?
