I definitely agree with Glenn on this. This is one that even I would not
bushwack on. I road my bicycyle on it and it was a good ride. Only steep
at the beginning of the trail but lots of turns.

BIG HINT. Bushwhacking would take you lots longer and you would be much tired-er. It is very rugged & steep territory around there and the trail runs level (mostly) along the ridgelines.

I read the log of your adventure on the Berryman. Even with soggy boots, my plan was to bushwhack at a steady pace to get in and out, knowing it might be a couple miles of treking round trip. If I had noticed the turnoff in time, I would have been in the Brazil lot about 7:15pm. My GPS said that sunset was about 8:30pm. I figured I had a solid hour to complete the hunt. But it wouldn't have been a smart move, seeing that I would be tired, in the woods alone, with the light fading and noone around to hear me scream for help!
