Yup...avoid the 200 plus dollar fee... ~Chris ----- Original Message ----- From: LuAnn To: geocaching@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Sent: Monday, June 07, 2004 10:49 AM Subject: [GeoStL] Re: Good luck to Mean Gene If they had called Madison EMS, I believe he would have had to go to their facility for stabilization. In St. Francois County, usually it is the patients preference for the most part. As long as it is in county, with the exception of the northern most part then they can take them to Jefferson Memorial. Also, you can call an ambulance and be treated at the scene, and then choose not to be transported. The point being, that there were medical facilities very close to where the accident occurred. -----Original Message----- From: geocaching-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:geocaching-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx] On Behalf Of Chris Binder Sent: Monday, June 07, 2004 10:27 AM To: geocaching@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: [GeoStL] Re: Good luck to Mean Gene - Now, Dru, explain to me something. Is it up to the nearest hospital or the EMT that picks where the patient goes? I think someone on this list works at Parkland Health Center in Farmington. ~Chris ----- Original Message ----- From: "Dru C Reeves" To: Sent: Monday, June 07, 2004 10:14 AM Subject: [GeoStL] Re: Good luck to Mean Gene > - > Just so that everyone knows, there is a medical center in Fredericktown > (about five or six miles away from Silver Mines where the accident happened) > and also a Hospital in Farmington about 18 miles up the road. > > The reason I mention this is because they stated that they took MG back up > to St Louis for medical treatment.
