A free program update to ExpertGPS is now available at

Based on feedback from ExpertGPS users, I've added several new features to make
it easier to manage the maps and lists in ExpertGPS. ExpertGPS now has a
split-screen interface, with a list on the left side, and a map on the right.
At the top of the list is a drop-down menu allowing you to quickly switch
between viewing waypoints, routes, tracks, shapes, or notes. There is a new
search box at the top of the list, and as you type ExpertGPS will narrow down
the list to show items that match your search phrase.
You can now quickly edit text in a list view by clicking on the item to modify
and pressing the F2 function key. A text edit box will appear. Enter the new
text and hit Return.
The new shortcut for the New Waypoint command is F3.
Double-clicking an item in the list will show that object on the map. The map
will be zoomed in to show the selected item. To zoom in on a group of items,
select them in the list and click View on Map on the Tools menu.
You can switch between the four map types in ExpertGPS by typing Q, T, A, or P
(for Quick, Topo, Aerial, and scanned maP). ExpertGPS will keep the center
point and map scale the same as it switches between maps. (topo maps and
aerial photos will zoom to the closest available scale)
ExpertGPS now opens the last file used on startup.
ExpertGPS should now be properly identifying all of the available serial ports
on your computer. If you have a USB to Serial adapter or a virtual port that
isn't showing up, please let me know.
There is now a separate installer for Windows 98 and Windows ME users. Please
download the appropriate installer for your operating system at
http://www.expertgps.com/latest.asp
