Midwest Invitational Geocaching Competition - 2004

The 2004 Midwest Invitational was a huge success this year. We had over
100 participants signup and had some really great feedback. The events were a
little rough but everyone enjoyed one of Missouri''s greatest parks!

I would like to congratulate our own Sniper1 for winning the "B" course
competition. Sniper1 finished all waypoints both Saturday and Sunday in the
fastest time to win the event. To see the results and read all the log entries,
please visit the event page, MIGC.

The Johnson Family from the Kansas City area took first and second place
in the couples competition.

      SLAGA Needs Help!
It is that time again when we must renew our Domain and Website for
another year. SLAGA has been dues free since it began and we hope to keep it
that way by having people step up to the plate and either donate money or time
to help us going forward.

We are about to loose our website if we don''t get some donations. Our
account is getting low. Actually, we are almost broke. We have a couple of
outstanding bills that need to be paid and when it is all said and done, we
will be less than 100.00 from being broke.

Most of you have visited our website and it just got a fresh new look.
Thanks to Konopapw for his work on the website to keep it updated and fresh! We
have no cushion and even the planned picnics are starting to become a struggle
because of lack of funds.

You can help in two ways. The first is to donate to SLAGA! Follow this
link and you can donate anywhere from 5$ to 100$. Just click on the Paypal
Button. There is also an address to send in donations as well.

The second way to help SLAGA is to roll up your sleeves and volunteer for
an event or committee. We need all sorts of people to help out. Time
commitments are tough these days, but, remember that this is your club..

Thanks in Advance for your Help!

     SLAGA Website gets a facelift!
If you haven''t seen the new SLAGA site, please take a moment and look at
what Konopapw has done! He has spent many extra hours organizing the site,
streamlining code and deleting old files. It looks cleaner and the performance
is noticeable.

Be sure and stop by and see. You can also add your comments as well.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------

      Nominations for New Officers!!

At the Spring picnic we will accept nominations for new officers at
SLAGA. No experience necessary! We will be looking for a new President, 2 new
Vice Presidents, Secretary, Activities Coordinator, Public Relations Officer
and a Janitor.

If you or someone you know is interested in a high paying job, please
nominate them by the next picnic, May 8th. You can also send in your
nominations to info@xxxxxxxxxxx

      MOGA 2005!

The location might change but the dates are solid. Mark you calendar now
and Don''t miss this event!
