Actually I dorked it on the picnic (kinda like my spelling!! LOL) Asked the
boys about it because I thought it was the 23rd. I will be in KC area on the
16th weekend so won't be able to be at the picnic. Darn it. My son Jeremy
wants to meet NickyRex too. :) So maybe next time.

Hi Lisa,
Welcome to geocaching and the St Louis Geocachers Association. We're mostly a
friendly bunch, and I'm looking forward to meeting you and your sons at the
picnic, if I can get my schedule clear to attend . . .

As far as caches on the islands, you can check cache locations from the main
page of www.geocaching.com On the right side, go to the gray box that says "To
Locate the nearest geocaches in your area". The third drop down box is for
nations outside the US. There were several listed for Puerto Rico.Once you have
identified one in San Juan, click on the link to list all the nearest caches to
see how many might be available. You can find out whether there are caches in
St. Maartin and St. Thomas the same way. Some of the people on this list can
probably walk you through creating a pocket query to find these more
efficiently, but I haven't quite advanced to that stage yet.

Depending on the hurricane damage, you may have trouble finding much of
anything. Let us know how you fare. Have a great cruise.

Hello all,

New to the list today but been caching now about 4 months I guess. Closing in
on 100 and cache mostly with my 11and 13 year old sons and dogs.

I am going on a cruise next week and just thought I'd ask about the caches in
these places. (Assuming they are still around after all the hurricanes) I don't
know the area and thought I'd take them all but has anyone gone to the port of
St Maartin, St Tomas or San Juan, Puerto Rice and done any caching? I won't
have alot of time and am trying to get an idea if I can get to any. Thanks for
your time and it seems like a nice bunch of people. My sons want to come to the
picnic (which surprises me) so hopefully will get to meet a bunch of you there.
