All things have blemishes Sara. GC is no different/better/worse than
anything else. Personally, I'd rather go into a new hobby/sport knowing
that about the worst of it's "problems" is internal fighting over what
constitutes safe and responsible behaviour. Seriously - if these are the
wors of the issues, then we're doing pretty good!.

They're going to look and see the world the way it is. That there *are*
some pitfalls, and some times when nobody knows what is really the right
thing to do.

And, if we *can* come to a universal agreement as to what is the right
course of action, they'll get the added benefit of not having to break new
ground if this ever happens to them ;-)

No. Now you're injecting your personal beliefs. The bottom line is
someone made a decision *based upon their belief in what is right and
wrong*, and that many people agreed and disagreed with it. I *do* find it
interesting how many of the "agree" are unwilling to go public though -
political fear in a *sport* is a very bad sign...

This is a public sport. An evolving public sport. One that has basic
rules, but is still too new too have ever hashed out what happens in
situations where there is no clear right and wrong. this is an important
*public* discussion, and should remain so.

The arguments, for both sides, are good. It means people care. The
threats do need to go. Fast ;-)

I guess we'll just have to disagree with that as well. And I will
continue to keep this a public issue while it is alive (hopefully not much
longer. It's already repetitive and boooooring). But it *has* to be
public, since the public itself has a stake in it's outcome.

What, that a bunch of people are interested enough in something to get
worked up about it? Thats a GREAT impression Sara! I'd encourage my kids
to get involved in a group for *exactly* this reason!
