- First off, I would like to apologize to everyone out there for my heated remarks. I suppose that some of us will have to agree to disagree on this issue. As for your opinion, Jim...I can respect it even though I disagree. I can honestly say that I would have never explored the state of Missouri as much as I have if it weren't for the MO County and Delorme challenges...both of which are "?" caches. So, I do believe it's not right to paint all of those kinds of caches with a broad brush. That's the beauty of geocaching...there are so many kinds of caches to choose from. Like some? Do 'em. Don't like some? Don't do 'em. :) -Michael ________________________________ From: Jim Bensman <junkmailno@xxxxxxxxxxx> To: geocaching@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Sent: Thu, August 26, 2010 12:41:51 PM Subject: [GeoStL] Re: A to Z - Both of the mentioned challenges are examples of the kinds of caches I wish were not allowed. While I wish all ? caches were banned, I do not think challenge cache rules should make it easier for some cachers than others. Would it be fair to have rules that excluded newer caches from completing the challenge? What would cachers think of a challenge cache that required one of the caches to be found in 2001, one in 2002, one in 2003, one in 2004, one in 2005, and the rest could be found at any time? I long for the early days of caching when caching was about finding a cache in a nice location!
