Obtained a Blaze fitbit that came without a dongle, it did come with a
usb battery charger and a setting that allows it to use Classical
Bluetooth. I've been looking for a way to sync the device using Linux
and came across Galileo which looks very promising.
So far
I've setup a fitbit account and have done the initial update and sync of
the device using a windows10 machine to which I have limited access.
I've managed to pair the Blaze to a Bluetooth capable Ubuntu 16.04
laptop, with the Blaze in Classic Bluetooth Mode.
I've cloned the galileo source, installed the dependencies, set udev to
run galileo as a regular user and get the expected
~/bitbucket/galileo$ ./run
2017-02-16 12:26:18,448:ERROR: No dongle connected, aborting
I've tried to update galileo/main.py as per issue #149 but noticed that
GalileoClient is no longer used so I assume that adding connectivity new
devices like the Blaze has been successfully integrated.
Questions
Are the newer capabilities i.e. syncing newer devices and connecting
using means other than the FitBit USB Bluetooth dongle in the released
code and if so how do I enable them or test them?
