your library doing something cool or techy that you'd like to share at our
Technology Day workshop in September, but you don't think you can fill a 45-60
minute session by yourself? Don't let that stand in your way!
How about being part of a "lightning round" session, where you and others have
15 minutes to do a show & tell or talk about a topic?
If you've never given a conference or a workshop presentation, being part of a
lightning round would be a great way to start! Don't worry - you won't need to
recruit fellow lightning round victims presenters; we'll take care of that for
you (unless you already have in mind some colleagues to join you.) J
If you have something to share about gadgets, emerging trends, apps, innovative
tools, social media, coding, STEM/STEAM, e-content, privacy, makerspaces,
Google services, or teaching tech to patrons... you'll fit right in at the
workshop. Your 15-minute presentation could be part of the Technology Day
workshop on either (or both) Wednesday, September 14th at Franklin Public
Library and Thursday, September 22nd at Fond du Lac Public Library.
Just let me & my fellow workshop planners know what you have in mind by filling
out our Presentation Proposal form<https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/9L77YZP> by
June 17th. (Please add "lightning round" or "15 minute session" in one of the
comments fields so we can reserve your time slot.)
We can't promise you'll become world-famous from your 15 minutes, but we do
know you'll get mileage reimbursement & lunch, and possibly earn the admiration
of your fellow workshop attendees!
The Technology Day workshop is sponsored and coordinated by Winnefox Library
System, Outagamie Waupaca Library System, Manitowoc-Calumet Library System, and
the Southeastern Wisconsin (SEWI) library systems: Arrowhead Library System,
Bridges Library System, Eastern Shores Library System, Kenosha County Library
System, Lakeshores Library System, Mid-Wisconsin Federated Library System and
Milwaukee County Federated Library System.
