Start it now! How many of you are interested in Free softwares? Importent thing is to decide the activities that has to be held as part of the group. (Dont make it LUG, instead call it FSUG, free software users group) The first activity may be to introduce Gnu/Linux to all students. Also You can start helping the Free software groups in i-net or you can start a project of your owm. The thing is that you should be able to turn your intrest into some product. You can call experts from idustry and reserch to share their experience with you. We are able to help you, mainly through net. For furhter contacts join the list (fsug-calicut). Now you are not a member of the list and hence your posts need aproval from moderator to reach the list.
