[fsug-calicut] No audio

Hello.
My friend has an HP Pavillion dv6 laptop. Installed Ubuntu 9.04 upgraded to
kubuntu. it has two audio devices as follows:
1. Audio Device ATI technologies R700 Audio device radeon HD 4000 series
2. Audio Device Intel Corportion 828081l
we are not getting any sound output. I googled and tried almost all
solutions but still cant hear any sound.
Please help.
