Quick note to let everyone know that while in Nicaragua July 23-27, Lisa
Flanagan, Mike Cip, Conchita and I met with Mario Real (seller of 7
manzanas/or 12 acres of land to the club for use in future for ball field,
school extension, park, gardens, etc.) and Conchita's attorney to contract
for the purchase of this very good land. The money is from Students for
60000, $15000 saved from April 2008 and $2500 from Shari's JMU 2009 group
for a total of $17500. On the land, there is a house which needs to be
renovated into a state of the art comedor, or school dining room. Club plans
on this for future trip. Just thought you might want to know of this
positive step toward the future for betterment of poor children's nutrition,
recreation, education, etc. Below is Mario's (the seller) wife's (Leticia)
email telling of the latest. they have lived in Oklahoma for past 20 years
but want to move back to Nica as he has aging relatives he wants to be near.
