i vote for giving them whatever we gave last year, $250 or $500. it's nearly a year since we decided to spend liquidnet's $7,500 locally, but nothing has been spent. suggest that at our january meeting we decide on spending some or all of this money. having it sit in our account doesn't benefit poor people.

She's right, last year we contributed $500 to this. I'mnot sure if we gave $250 and the club matched it, but I believe that's what happened. We had $4000 from our fall fete and contributed it all to local charities, and the club matched funds. So a total of $8000 was sent. This year we haven't had any fund raisers, so if we decide to do this again, it will be either from the remaining Liquidnet money, or from our dwindling treasury. Also, maybe Lisa/Rusty/the club could consider this request also. Since we don't meet again until after Christmas, this can be discussed/ decided by email I suppose. I suggest we do something, even if it's only $100 or so. If the club matches, they'll have $200. Let me know. PW

Subject: "Friends of Andrew" Toy Drive

Hi Mr. White,
I hope all is well. I had sent you an e-mail a few weeks back and did not hear back from you. Last year around this time your organization "Friends of Students for 60,000" supported my son Andrew's annual toy drive, "Friends of Andrew". We were wondering if we could count on you and your organization for support this year? If you recall, Andrew is an 8 year old boy who is a cancer survivor. He donates toys to sick children in the hospital undergoing cancer treatment. He came to one of your meeting with Kristi Lalor. This will be his 6th year doing the toy drive.
Thank you for your consideration.
