According to the latest Contest rules:
Tall Tales speeches shall be from three to five minutes. A contestant will
be
disqualified if the speech is less than two minutes 30 seconds or more than
five
minutes 30 seconds.

FYI, The Tall Tales Contest is scheduled for September 20. That date
hasn't changed. The date of the Debate was accidentally scheduled for
Thanksgiving, Nov 22, and so will be moving to the 29th.

I'm going to tell you a short story, and I wish it was a whopper.
Last night, at our Meeting in the Park, I passed around a sign up sheet
for our Tall Tales Contest. *(It had been scheduled for the 22nd. Now
rescheduled to the 29th.)*
Most of you who attended signed up for a role. Sometime during the cleanup
phase, the sign up sheet was lost. Was it taken as a keepsake by some
misguided collector? Did the wind--a playful companion during our
meeting--decide to snatch the helpless sheet of paper and transport it to
realms unknown?
Who knows?
The moral of this story is this: *regardless of whether you attended last
night's Meeting in the Park*, please let me know if you'd like to be a
Food Chair, Assistant Judge, Vote Counter, Contestant, or enthusiastic
audience member.
