Dear Fellow Toastmasters,
At last night's meeting we had planned to elect officers for the July 2021 -
December 2021 term. We could not hold elections because we did not
have a quorum. We plan to hold elections next Thursday (June 17). It would be
great if all 17 active members could attend the meeting and cast
their vote. For a quorum we need 9 members present.
There is life outside of Toastmasters. Many of you spend all day online and
two more hours at the end of the day is too much. For some this is
your busy time at work. Some of us have family visiting. There is a million
reason why you cannot attend. I understand. However, consider this option:
The election
will occur at the beginning of the meeting; The process should take about 15
- 20 minutes... attend and cast your vote.
If at the end of the election you want to leave, just sign off...leave. We
would really like it if you stayed but understand if you need to leave.
Robin McIntosh will be our Toastmaster and he always brings a funny and lively
meeting.
