oh ya believe me i was curssing like a sailor,yes ive been to google about
linux /Ubunto instalation google talks in tounges and i cant understand a xxxx
thing it says ill bring it in 2 morrow.......

As Goose said, laptops can be trouble. I just recently had to reinstall Windows
98SE on a Compaq laptop at work (this was the original OS for this machine). We
didn't have a restore CD and the hard drive with the restore partition was
toast. The laptop was unusable until I downloaded the various drivers from
Compaq on to another machine and installed them. Laptops can tend to cause you
to use bad words on any OS
