I arrived at the warehouse at 6:00PM, Goose and Dan had arrived earlier. Goose had already opened up. Volunteers attending: Dan, Goose, and Mike. Tom B. dropped by with an Epson ink jet printer. We didn’t do any testing of the Spanish localization since Adrian wasn’t available and none of the rest of us knows Spanish to any degree (or at all). At the end of the night we had 2 systems tested, including 1 that Dan had taken home and applied the Ubuntu updates to. We have 4 systems loaded that need to be tested, and we have 4 systems that have been dbaned and are ready to load. Dan and I each took a system home to load and run updates on. I spent a good part of the night working on the Gateway system. It has Intel 810 (as I recall) integrated video on the motherboard. It does not want to work with Ubuntu unless you install in vga mode. It works fine with Puppy Linux but my kung fu was weak and I was unable to defeat the mojo of the xorg.conf. I hung my head in shame and put another video card into the Gateway. Dan found that the instruction sheet we used for Vector final testing was not working with Ubuntu. I went over the differences as we did QC on the installed systems. I will complete revisions on the sheet and post them on the list. Thanks to all who attended!
