I opened the warehouse at about 6:00PM
Attending: Dale N, Dan and Dale, Phil and Kelsey. 2 new volunteers: Mark B and
another gentleman whose name I seem to have mislaid. Both are from Ivy Tech and
were referred by Kevin. Tom B stopped by briefly on his way to the Century
Center and dropped off some banking paperwork.
Dale and I arrived about 6:00 and were alone for the first 1/2 hr or so. I
finished testing the two title 1 boxes. I am happy to report that the language
problems seem to be sorted out. One of the boxes is set up as English only the
other has 2 accounts one in Spanish and the other in English. They seem to work
quite well at this point. I would say that they are ready to go. I began
writing up instructions for setting up a bilingual system. I will post them to
the list later after I finish them
I had intended to begin building some storage unfortunately we did not have
sufficient material on hand. I will see about getting some for next week. So we
did some deman to fill in the time.
At about 7:00 the two new volunteers from Ivy Tech arrived. I gave them the 50
cent tour and we discussed Free Geek's mission, future plans and open source
software.
At 7:30 or so Phil and Kelsey arrived to join in the fun.
We started closing up the warehouse at about 8:45 and left about 9:00PM
As Dr Nick Riviera might say "Thanks everybody"

The plan for the coming weeks:
I need to start building shelving to store and organize our "good" stock.
I want to start cleaning off monitors, covering them and storing them on
shelves to get them off the floor and free up more area for new donations.
