Nawaz,

The restoresymtable files are used by ufsrestore (ie, during a tape
restore) as a checkpoint.  These files are only necessary to preserve
if you're in the middle of doing incremental restores.  You should be
able remove them without problems - in fact you should remove them
after you're finished with any restore as they do take up lots of
space.
