This comes from the AIM FAQ's:

Q: Why is the histmain process taking a large percentage of the cpu?

A: If points are configured with sample rates with MSEC units the =
collector
will attempt to get data from aimapi on milliseconds scale. Edit rtp
config.

Good luck,

Subject: [foxboro] hsfetch problem and %CPU

Hi list,

I have a process problem : when i use ps -efo pid,pcpu,args |grep hist
i see a process opt/aim/bin/histmain with 93% of CPU using !

It's on a AW51E with IA V6.2 and AIMhistory V3.1
I have stopped and restart AIM with no success.
I have saved and rebatched the historian config file with no success.

Any idea ?

 /opt/aim/bin/dog.log indicate cs_reg_exit failed =3D -1000.=20
I don't know if it's independant or not with the other problem !
