Thanks Alex. That is good news. We bought a backup box to insure we would always be able to recover this critical server rapidly but since a backup from one box and restore to a new one is not possible using Symantec, you must do a Day0/Day1 on the new box in order to use it. This generates the new hostid that requires new authorization codes be obtained. I wasn't privy to the existence of the temporary auth codes and evidently neither was my Foxboro contact. You mentioned a code re-generator. How can I find and download that? Thanks for your help. You can get a temporary code by going to the GCS website (http://support.ips.invensys.com), clicking on Support, clicking Foxboro, and choosing the AIM Temp Code pick. It will allow AIM*AT to run until the machine is rebooted or 90 days whichever is longer. Once you have your new codes, edit the file /opt/aim/bin/an_init.tcp and enter the new codes into it. It's pretty obvious what to change. I never use the GUI. There's also an AIM*AT Code Regenerator, but I've never used it.
