We use "top" on most all of our Solaris boxes.
You can download a package at:
http://www.sunfreeware.com
They will have it for Solaris 2.5.1 as well as Solaris 8

On Solaris 8 there is nice gui called "sdtproccess" that can be used as
an overview of process management.
It is located in the "/usr/dt/bin" directory.
