Officially, no. This is a long-standing artifact of Venix, is not
necessary on Solaris and NT platforms, and is a problem Invensys refuses to
fix in spite of numerous customer complaints.

Now, whether anyone has tried it or not, I don't know. It might work, but
it certainly will not be supported.

Subject: [foxboro] Timezones and the I/A System

Hello,

does anyone know if it is possible to operate an I/A system with local
timezone settings, or must the timezone always be GMT? Has anyone
experiences (positive or negative) on this issue?

Regards,
Ulrich
