You may not want to insert the "-9" in the kill command. The system
monitor has some child process started by smon_ech and I don't think
they get killed with the -9 in your statement. So kill without a -9
(perhaps confirm there is no smon* process remaining) and then run the
nohup line to get system monitor running again.

This may not be the recommended way, even though I am sure that TAC had
me do it this way.
Kill the system monitor by using the following command
ps -eaf | grep smon
This should return the path where sysmon resides as well as the pid
number path should be /usr/fox/sysmgm/sysmon/smon_ech (smon_ech is the
process to kill)
at the # prompt kill -9 and the process id
To restart:
nohup /usr/fox/sysmgm/sysmon/smon_ech &

I have an AW 51D Version 6.5.2 and is the hosts on this node. I want to
restart the System Monitor but I'm not sure of the commands. I would
assume I would have to kill some processes and restart manually. Can
anyone help please?
