I do the same with shell scripts on the AW, using my cellular carrier's
email-to-SMS gateway (mynumber@xxxxxxxxx, Verizon). Works well enough for
what I need.

I use Foxray and have a query built so that looks for certain alarms and
sends me txt message through email (XXXYYYZZZZ@xxxxxxxxxxx) Works great
but it is not instantaneous. Alarms pull in every 10 minutes.
