Yes, we saw something similar when we had the mouse plugged directly into 
the box.  But when we did the final install, we used USB extenders, and 
couldn't unplug anything at all.  Not a problem, I thought; we don't need 
to unplug stuff on our I/A boxes anyway.  Then the reboot issue (which we 
had seen earlier in staging, without the extenders) reared its ugly head, 
and we had to do something.

I would leave them both plugged in, so pluggin and unplugging wouldn't
be a problem.  But on that note, if I unplug one and plug it back in,
it works.  If I unplug one, then plug in the other, the other won't work
and I can't go back to the first one either.
