Going from memory here, but it caused us pain I know.

You have to get into Device Manager and change the driver for the serial
port you wish to use to that Foxboro proprietary one. We often have to
change it back to run other applications that use the same serial port.
It's a real drag, and another reason I don't have too many Foxboro field
instruments.

I believe the driver gets installed when you install PC20/50.

[foxboro] Installation of PC20 software in new pc

Hello to everyone!

The IT department in our company has been changing most PCs and this time
they replaced the maintenance one. Even that we still have the PC20
software cd we are having problems to get it to work. We used it offline
the process at the maintenance area to be easier to operators when
calibrating and so on. The problem is that the software doesn´t install
properly the driver of the modem (IFD PC10), and when the IT guy try to
re-install the driver it doesn't accep it. I was reading the list messages
and seems that it is due to a propietarty driver that is not been
installed for the modem. The maintenance supervisor says that couple years
ago when installing they needed to use a driver that it was included into
the PC50 software patch but i can´t find it (free).

Does anyone have any suggestion about solving this?

Sorry for poor english (and poor experience)
