Jim, If the new instance is named the same, stop all aim-related processes on old AW, zip instance folder, copy to new AW, unzip in instance folder, and restart AIM processes on new AW (need to set instance to start automatically, too). Sometimes you have to start/stop aim a few times to get the historian going on the new box. If it's named something else, you can only transfer the configuration over, as far as I know. Do a Save Config from old AW, replace historian instance name with new one in output file, and batch config in the file on the new AW. I have the new AW built with AIM installed as well as the AIM licensing transferred. Is there a simple solution for "moving" the existing instance form the old AW to the new AW? I have read the AIM manuals cover to cover and have not seen a direct path to do this. We are running Foxboro I/A 8.4.2 and AIM*Historian 3.3.1 with AIM API version 5.5.0. Both systems are Windows boxes.
