He ir replacing an I/A system for an AB solution and he wants the same alarm
sounds. At least thats what I understood
But, since you are replacing Foxboro for AB... NO MORE SOUP FOR YOU! hehehe

Now, being serious, the alarm sounds dont come from a PC, remember they come
from the annunciator panel, so, there are not .wav files in the system for
those
sounds. I think there is a way to configure de PC to give the alarm sound, but
I
dont know if there is a library, never found it anyway.

Solution, there might be an online wave generator that allows you to save de
sound you like.

Regards.

You configure the tone/wav using FoxPanels. This will sound through the
workstation speakers.

Tim,

Yes, I/A versions 8.x have the option to use a wav file for the alarm sounds.
You can basically use anything you want. If you don't find the exact one you
are looking for, you can record your old sound and make it into a wav file.
There are some default wav files already loaded onto the workstations or you
can
use a tone instead of a wav file.

Subject: [foxboro] Alarms on the Windoz version

Question for all those who have the windoz version of Fox IA. Is there a wav
file used for the audible alarms? I'm assuming here that the alarms are
prioritized like on the old Unix version. Alarm #2 was a moderate screech while
alarm #1 was an obnoxious screech. We are using RSView to replace our out of
date 6.3 Unix version and the replacement team has not been able to come up with
any sutible audible alarm wav files for the new system. So I was wondering if
the new fox IA version had a portable wave file for the good old reliable
sounds.
