If you know the disks were "truly" mirrored before the shutdown and the
AW51E has successfully rebooted from one of the mirrored disks it should
be a matter of "Replacing a Mirrored Disk" which is documented in
B0193ND (Rev L.) I/A Series System Administration Guide for 50 Series
Systems. Look under the section titled "Disk Mirroring and
Concatenation".

Dear All,

We are using one pair of mirrored hard disk connected with AW51E. Today
we=20
shutdown our AW and then disconnected the two hard disks for AW service.

When we restarted AW with the mirrored hard disk reconnected, it
prompted=20
Nds_Maint errors for mirrored hard disk. To resolve this problem I used=20
metadetach and metattach commands as recommended by Invensys. I first
used=20
metadetach for d0 and d20, it detached the d20 successfully but when I=20
executed metattach to reattach d0 and d20 it was not successful with the

following error messages.
