Bridge Nodes can't pass IP traffic.

An AW on the Bridge Node can ping stations on the ATS/MESH side and
stations on the CBLI side, but an AW on the MESH can't ping a AW on
Nodebus or vice versa.

As an example of the issues, consider FoxCTS, if I want the same server
to serve both MESH and Nodebus equipment it has to sit in the Bridge
Node, i.e. on Nodebus. The alternative for FoxCTS is to run the traffic
over the "2nd Ethernet/Plant Network," but not all applications have
that option.

I've never really understood the root cause, but it relates to the way
that the CBLI works.

Subject: [foxboro] ATS/MESH problem

Gents,

I'm doing a V8.x + ATS upgrade of some CBLAN modules to MESH.

Our first two nodes went fine - one bridge node and one other node.

The three nodes I've done today I'm having problems where the ATS
modules don't seem to pass IP traffic. System monitor info and OM
information seem to move fine. Any ideas? Also, the 3 AWs show offline
ins SMDH, although the system monitors on those three AWs are working
fine and showing all the other stations correctly.

Cheers,

Kevin FitzGerrell
