i was trying to install glib 2.8.0 version
as i installed new debian sarge i was not able to install the newest version
of xchat (i think 2.8)
the error on trying ./configure was
glib version required >=2.0.3

i installed glib 2.8.0 successfully
but i was not able to correct the error upon installation of xchat
it again gave the error like "cannot find glib"

so infact the installtion was in vain, i wanted to uninstall glib-2.8.0
but was possible in no way
