Requirements:
You will need the Pangu English jailbreak, available at:
www.en.pangu.io/help.html
Also you will need the tool to put the ipa file into your phone and sign it,
located at:
www.cydiaimpactor.com
What do we do now?
Once we downloaded both pangu jailbreak and cydia impactor we connect our
device and
make a backup, this is necessary in case things go bad.
Note Jailbreak only wirks on 64 bit devices, so iPhone 4s and 5 are out of
the game. Only 6th gen iPod touch will work with jb, no idea about iPad
generations, but keep in mind that it must be 64 bit.
When we backed up our device we open cydia impactor and we'll see our device
plus a few buttons that we do not need to use. Instead we do the following.
* We find the ipa file we downloaded before.
* Disable VoiceOver's cursor control by pressing Shift plus VO plus 3,
you may need to pres the fn key as well depending on your configuration.
* place the mouse cursor on the pangu file by focusing on it and
pressing VO plus CMD plus f5.
* Click and hold the mouse by pressing VO plus CMD plus Shift plus
Space.
* Press Alt plus Tab to switch to cydia impactor and find your device
name.
* Pres VO plus CMD plus F5 to highlight your device's name with your
mouse.
* Release the mouse by pressing again Shift plus VO plus CMD plus
Space.
After you do this you'll be prompted for your apple id to generate an apple
certificate. I would suggest entering a secondary id but that's up to you.
After pressing OK you must enter the password for that ID and press OK.
After a few minutes the pangu app should appear on your fone, but do not
open it.
Almost done.
On your device go to settings>General and almost at the very bottom you'll
find an option called device management. The name may vary since I'm using
iOS in another language. If we double tap on that we will find the
certificate we created with the apple id and password we were asked for.
Simply tap the certificate and choose trust. Then open the pangu app and
accept the notifications permission. There are two unlabeled buttons, press
the first one, wait for a few seconds and lock your device, It will respring
itself. A few seconds or minutes later you will get a notification saying
your device is jailbroken and cydia was installed.
Congrats, you are free to tweak your device.
last warning
As you may have noticed this is a semi-tettered jailbreak. This means that
you'll need to repeat the last part every time you reboot your device. The
certificates expire after seven days so if you reboot your device after that
you'll need to repeat the whole process.
Remember that you only have to restore your device to delete our jailbreak
entering recovery mode. To do this simply press and hold for 5 seconds the
power and home buttons. After that release only the power button and hold
down the home button for another 5 seconds. Then simply follow the
instructions on your mac.
