Dominique,
I see that you recommend turning off "Hands free" in the settings?
You mention that this only happens when the app is open. I have not opened the
app!
Now what?
All the best,
Cearbhall

Great notes Ken.
Congratulations Cearbhall.
Ken to stop other Echo Devices playing, enable "Whisper Mode" and when you
whisper to Alexa, she'll whisper back and the other devices won't hear, so only
one will stream. And to stop Alexa answering from the App, disable "Hands
Free" In the App Settings in the Alexa App. This only happens when the App is
open. This method is useful if you want to invoke Alexa hands free.

Hi Ken, thanks for the minutes as always.
I'd like to congratulate Cearbhall on winning the Hable One challenge.
I was a participant but was supposed to be on the trial earlier but for some
reason was put back to last month where I was on holiday abroad so couldn't
effectively participate.
I see in the Tech-VI Announcementlist that some company are selling The device
for 43 percent discount.
I can put out the ad here if anyone wants.
Cheers,
Tony

Apologies received.
we all congratulated Cearbhall on winning the Hable One. We now have the King
and Queen of the Hables as Jackie has also won a Hable last year. The Hable
is a handheld braille bluetooth keyboard.
Paul was telling us how his wife lost her phone in a park. When paul tried
ringing it to find it he found Siri was not letting him call her by phone.
Siri was insistent on using whatsapp.
Paul went into settings, siri, search, phone and turned off this setting
Learn from this App.
Jackie updated us on her Vodafone and Aib complaints.
With AIB they are believing the card tab doesn't work because of security.
They are investigating this as they are now unsure why its not working.
Jackie explained security makes no sense.
Jackie had more contact withVodafone again and they have now given her a
reference number. The last manager didn't and wouldn't give her this
reference number. This vodafone complaint is to do with the accessibility of
the app.
The paying with a card came up in taxis. Stuart and Ken uses their cards with
no issue, Jackie uses cash. Paul said his card had to go into the card
machine so it was thought he had tapped three times with bank of Ireland so
he then had to enter his pin.
Jackie reported back on her tesco website issue. The issue was about the
strong customer authentication being removed by Bank of Ireland. Tesco was
putting the transaction through as an SCA but with Jackie not having this the
payment was being denied. Jackie just used her revolut card to complete this
transaction.
The group spoke about various issues with audible. Jackie said her listening
time doesn't come up,. She has to sign out and then in again to refresh this.
Ken and Chris both spoke about books returning back to the beginning after
either receiving a call or closing the app. We all haven't experienced this
so no one had any answers.
Cearbhall told us how a text to him returned a mobile phone to its owner. A
phone was found in long grass, cearbhall was the last person texted and the
finder of the phone . The person Googled Cearbhall's name and the phone was
returned to the owner.
When Cearbhall was trying to get Alexa to play something, he’s Amazon app
would respond instead of the device. Jackie and several members came up with
suggestions to try and resolve, from deleting the app, logging out of the app
and checking different settings and the Amazon app and in settings on his
phone. Cearbhall Will report back.
Ken urged if anyone has done the latest iOS update to make sure automatic
updates was turned off.
Ken reported when one of his family members tries to listen to a radio
station in the early hours of the morning. The Alexa in the kitchen goes up
to the maximum volume for no pparticular reason. Jackie and Stuart suggested
that he should check out routines and alarms in the Amazon app.
The meeting ended.
All The Best,
Ken
