This is a message to Mary about the non chocolate chip cookies on audible. I'd
strongly advice you to accept the cookies, as not accepting them could land you
in trouble. Not accepting the cookies could lead to you needing to put in an
OTP each time you log in. An OTP is a one time password. This is very annoying
and time consuming.
I hope I wasn't missed too much today.

Declan is back from holidays, and he told us of his virtual meetings in New
York, and New Zealand (how the other half live)!
Joan told us of her purchase of the echo dot (Alexa),
and was disappointed that after downloading the Amazon Alexa app to her
iPhone,
she could not use the app, as she uses inverted colours to maximise her use
of the app.
She did not let matters stop there but contact Amazon about her problem,
and within a short time , she downloaded the latest version of the app, and
low and behold, she was able to use her inverted colours with the app.
Well done Joan for persistence and getting your problem resolved.
Joan also sorted out her new e mail address with a new password and some help
from Microsoft help line on
Tel: 1850940940
.
Bert also reiterated
That for VIP'S, its better to have automatic updates for app's switched
off, and to do the manual updates when needed
There was some discussion on the cancellation of the Fighting Blindness AGM,
but Mary gave the explanation for the cancellation, lack of time for audited
accounts and so forth.
Mary has a problem in using Audible, as she gets this constant message about
accepting Cookies,
Bert/Paul/Cearbhall said there was little one can do to stop this, as
Cookies are a way of the company your dealing with to get a handle on your
buying preferences, and likes and dislikes, so they can target you with sales
messages.
Mary and Bert discussed the problem of converting mp3 files to mp4, and Mary
had sent the file in question to Bert.
But Bert has two e mail addresses like outlook at g mail,
And another one ROUND TOWER Clondalkien at g mail.com
Mary had the wrong e mail address for Bert, so he did not get her file to
convert.
They decided to send via Dropbox, and Bert will work on the conversion when
he receives her file.
Bert uses a programme called Switch to convert mp3 files into mp4 files.
He also told us of an app called Walt 2, which can copy files and son like
ring tones and drop them into your phone.
He used Walt 2 on a 24 hour free use, as this app costs money.
Mary will store the file to be converted in the Public folder in her
Dropbox, and can save and copy the file to her clipboard, and then paste into
an e mail to be sent to Bert.
Eamon pointed out by using the Public folder on your Dropbox, your then not
bgiving access to other private files in your Dropbox.
Tom asked Bert about those Echo tips, and Bert said that he could ask Google
to find the Echo tips.
These are great Tips for using the Alexa echo dot device.
Regards
Paul
