Welcome aboard the Tech Train on this glorious Saturday morning.
We had 11 happy campers in attendance this morning.
We also had Apologies from our resident B1 Tennis Champ, plus a world
renowned singer.
The meeting began with general chat. Chris wanted to hear Martin's balls
rattle so Martin obliged. Garth asked about the Hable one and Jackie and
Cearbhall both spoke very highly of it. Joanne is taking part in the up and
coming NCBI course.
Garth said about how messy the spell check is on the web version of 365. Both
Jackie and Ken said the app version isn't much better.
Jackie then kicked us off this morning talking about pooh. Seeing AI now has
a feature in the world channel whereby you can program it to Find My Things.
So Jackie took photos of her guide dogs pooh and trained the app to find it.
Jackie is very pleased to report its working well.
The process is
1. Go to the world channel.
2. double tap on actions.
3. swipe to Find My Things.
4. then add.
Follow the instructions and thats it done.
Ger and Adrian spoke about Be My AI on android and you can now send a
photo to it from your camera roll. The iPhone people said they must go to the
photo app as well and share then describe with be my eyes. Jackie said its a
pity the photo can't be shared from the app its self.
A number of people spoke about zoom. Zoom is still the easiest platform but
some people had a few issues, while others said they had no problems getting
into this mornings meeting. Jackie said about having more than one account
signed in to do this you
1. more.
2. go into where it says your name.
3. then switch accounts. just follow the sign in instructions here.
Adrian has joined the wonderful word of Alexa. We all spoke about how we use
it and one of these are spelling words. Alexa can spell words and if its a
big hard word then ask her to spell it slowly and she will obey. Adrian
wanted to get into the games so the following are ones that were suggested:
daily connection, daily question, quick fire quiz, escape the room, pointless.
We then spoke about different shopping apps. Helen said she uses shein, temu
and others used amazon as well.
The wonders of delivery companies were discussed but due to legal action this
piece can not be recorded.
Ken asked about changing currancy on Revolut. Adrian said go into account, it
displays all the currencies. VO clunks at this so Ken is going to work on
this and report back.
Thats it folks
