I was using a 8-24 mm........It was in the center ALL the time!...
NO MORE BENDING down on the ground looking at a viewfinder!!! and hope that
you got the RIGHT star !!
After the first setup.....you go to a bright star and CENTER it with the
highest power ep....the tell it to solve it...(this puts it into the center of
it camera frame)(auto finder adjustment)
you do this one time...Then do a realign ....then your done.... after that...
You plop the scope down on the ground ..Push a few buttons ...and let it
go....It was good on both sides ....
The samy video camera is about = to a 6mm ep....so Saturday I hope to give it a
try..I have high hopes that it will be great..
It looks at different areas of the sky...if clouds or no stars ,,,,it just
moves to another area.....it just works.(much better that I can do
manually)..You got to see it !
Now I whish I had celestron mounts for all my scopes....lol...it
automatically set itself up for different scope mounts whith 10 profile
slots....!

Hi All
Was able to spend 2 hours last night testing the new celestron SSA

http://www.celestron.com/browse-shop/astronomy/accessories/navigation/starsense-autoalign

on the 6Se....and after set-up....It works

It gave me the best alignment that I have ever had on any telescope !

I looked at about 50 different stars and nebulas....each one was in the center
of the EP.

1.There was no guessing at "Is that the correct star for alignment"(it does a
plate solve)
2.It took less than 2 min to check 4 different areas of the sky and solve over
60 stars,on a bad
night (last night) (clouds)...I think I have allways had a problem knowing for
sure which star
was which in out LP skys....This eliminated that problem..
3. It took care of "backlash"....

Looking to do a test with the video camera Saturday night...
So far this thing ROCKs......

If you use celestron mounts..this is a nice option for sure...

It works So well ....Im thinking of upgrading from a SE to a Evolution .
