Rauschenberg folks are coming, Rauschenberg folks are coming. July 29, 30, August 1 I saw Andy Imm at 88 tonight and we can have the John Beadles work up at 88 to show; we'll have a day or so of the Neighbors show up still at West End. The more stuff we can show, the better. Of course, we'll give them a tour of Forsyth Street. Andy, we should get details up on the calendar a.s.a.p. We should have the July board meeting just before, so that'll be good. New web site would be good. They're doing this to, get to know us and see how they can help us get done what we want to get done . . . fundraising, community engagement (thoughts?) and they want to strengthen relationships among grantees. In Atlanta that's us, Glo ATL, Dashboard Coop, Lucky Penny, and Living Walls. While we were told at the beginning that we shouldn't count on this being a continuing thing, they might be persuaded to keep helping us. R. Rauschenberg made a lot of money. Regardless, we should show them nice hospitality. We're supposed to "finalize" logistics with them by July 21, but as far as i can tell, what we can do is tell them the extent of our activities during those 3 days and make ourselves available. It would be great if we could host them for cocktails or something at 88 and a whole bunch of us be there. This is a sweet opportunity. xo p 404-578-4430 ---------- Forwarded message ---------- From: Ron Ragin <rragin@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx> Date: Mon, Jul 7, 2014 at 6:47 PM Subject: Robert Rauschenberg Foundation - Atlanta Site Visits, July 30 - Aug 1 To: lauri.stallings@xxxxxxxxx, imaginarymary@xxxxxxxxx, beth@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx, Priscilla Smith <priscillagaysmith@xxxxxxxxx>, monica@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx, Blake Beckham <blake@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx> Cc: Stephanie Fleck <sfleck@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx> D ear Atlanta SEED Grantees, I hope that this message finds you doing well. I know that you've been hearing quite a bit from the Rauschenberg Foundation, as of late. Now that we have full-time staff in the Philanthropy Program, we are excited to deepen our relationships with the organizations that we support. In that spirit, I am planning a trip to Atlanta from Ju ly 30-August 1, and the primary purpose of my visit is to get to know our SEED grantees better. The attached letter provides more details about what I'd like to learn during my time with you and some of the activities I'd like to schedule. Please review it, both for your information and for planning purposes. I've CC'd my colleague Stephanie on this exchange so that she can support the planning process (thank you, Stephanie!). *Please finalize logistics with her by Monday, July 21. * If you have questions about content and what you should be prepared to discuss during our meeting , please contact me (rragin@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx) If you have questions about logistics, contact Stephanie ( sfleck@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx). Both Stephanie and I can be reached at 212-228-5283. Looking forward to seeing you all! Ron
