Greetings! Please help spread word of our opening event: https://www.facebook.com/events/492498907549919/ Please note the new title John came up with. :) +Cistercians of Festus and St. Charles+ New York Times contributing critic William Zimmer had this to say about John’s work: “Beadles’ paintings seem especially powerful—because they are purposeful.” Spending his formative years in a predominantly African-American culture may have stimulated John’s continuing interest in studying multiform cultures. Influenced by his diverse travels and studying an ever-broadening scope of media while establishing a solidly disciplined background, John has selected Atlanta, GA as a home base for the last nineteen years (though he often returns with family to Tokyo). He now spends most of his time painting, drawing, sculpting, and doing pottery. Beadles has shown his work in some notable East Coast galleries established a significant career in art. They have included: The Walter Wickiser Gallery in SOHO, HEIM America in Miami Beach, Lisa Kurts in Memphis, and The Barbara Archer Gallery in Atlanta. Artist Statement Continuing to admire world art, the very young, moderns, I believe the best art is honest and direct. Also, I try to employ whimsy, while respecting the integrity of materials. And with a myriad of influences (including Warhol, DeKooning, Park, Morandi, etc.) I embrace exploration. Art is a rain-soaked flyer bleeding its discount prices (24 Hour Sale!) on the artist. He found it beside the trashbin. -- *Andy Imm* *678**.667.**GLOW * * -- 678.667.4569*
