Installed and configured it (done by one of their partners), and it ran great for about 4 weeks. After that, we had 4 or 5 failovers that were triggered when the secondary server could no longer see the primary server. What was disconcerting was that while the secondary server was complaining (via the dedicated link to the primary) that it could not detect the primary, it was busy accepting replicated data from the primary. And, of course when the failover takes place and both servers are present on the network, Exchange services all stopped. The only solution was a reboot of both boxes. In each case, after sending countless logs to the vendor, the best explanation we were given was that "something unusual happened". The only thing unusual was that my VP purchased this piece of software without consulting me. After experiencing more down time in 3 weeks than we had experienced in the previous year, we called the partner in and offered him to software back. To his credit, he gave us a 100% refund, as we purchase other products and services from them. It was rather amusing a few weeks later when we came across some promotional material for Neverfail for Exchange and discovered, to our surprise, That we were listed as one of their happy customers. Around here, we now refer to this product as EverFail. Your experience may vary. ________________________________ From: Lara, Greg [mailto:GLara@xxxxxxx] Sent: Thursday, December 16, 2004 4:13 PM To: [ExchangeList] Subject: [exchangelist] RE: neverfail http://www.MSExchange.org/ Hmm.
