Excellent thanks Colin Hammond, for your input. Yah?I do think that we might
lean towards that direction.
One area of concern though?we invited a small pool of consultants hoping
that they will be able to sail the boat straight; to our surprise it was
meandering.
We gave the guys our business scenario, also mentioned to them that the
currently infrastructure is strictly windows environment?and to us the
answers we got were not able to translate the technological solution into
business solutions that solves our business challenges.
I am not too sure if this is the right way of scaling the guy?s abilities???
We might be pushing them way-too-far
Thank you, once again for your response.

Easy, employ another consultant.
Now I know that's a flippant comment but unless you have the time and expertise inhouse, how else are you going to know?

...I might be off par!!!
We employed the services of an independent body to design, document and rollout the following technologies:
1. Active Directory 2. Exchange 2003 EE - Clustered 3. File Server - Clustered 4. ISA Server 2004 FW 5. SMS 6. MOM 2005 + HP Insight Manager 7. WSUS 8. Client Computers - Windows XP 9. Antivirus - Symantec Corp EE 10. VoIP - Nortel Network 11. Backup Solution - Veritus NetBackup 12. SAN
Frankly, the document this body is dishing to us is 114% well done!!! And the beauty of it all is that the project is progressing exceptional well, we are now approaching handover stage.
As a business we are trying to avoid any problems and we want to start auditing and TESTing to make sure that Technological Solution already deployed - aligns exactly with the design documents and the hardware is identically spec ed accordingly.
Any pointers on how we can accomplish this?
Suggestions, contractive criticism plus comments welcome.
Many thanks...
Sibbs
