Because when you created the first Exchange 2000 it would have asked you
to specify the Organization Name, because you are installing the second
Exchange 2000 server in the same Active Directory Forest, it will
automatically be placed in the same Exchange 2000 Organization
automatically.

You will not need to configure replication of the user information as
this is taken care of via Active Directory, not Exchange, the only thing
you will need to do is plan and implement the replication of your public
folders.

Hope this helps

Subject: [exchangelist] Windows 2000 Domain and 2 Exchange Servers

http://www.MSExchange.org/

Hi,

Im installing a new domain with 2 x 2000 servers all
in the same domain. =
I have installed Exchange 2000 on one of the servers,
and am wondering =
how I go about installing exchange 2000 on the other
server so they =
replicate properly etc. e.g. Public folders, and say,
the administrator =
mailbox.

Has anyone got some guidance on installing multiple
exchange servers =
(just 2!) in the same windows 2000 .local domain?

Many thanks.

Andy
