Unable to fax PDF's using faxination

We are using Exchange 5.5 on WindowsNT4.0, we have been using faxination
fine, however now it cant send PDF attachments to fax machines any more.
If I use outlook express it works but using a VB script which I know works
as I can see the PDF's being attached and sent, shows that this is working
fine. But why cant the fax machines receive the PDF's anymore ?
anyone got any ideas ?
