We bought a Barrucuda appliance. I wanted something in house that I can control and didn't have to change my MX record. It sits inline with my mail flow and it even bounces the receiptants name from emails off my Active-Directory via LDAP to ensure I don't get junk emails and only my exchange server receives emails for valid users only. It also has Bayasian filtering and a anti-virual subscription blocker as well. It was the cheapest out there and its very nice. It comes with Outlook plugins I can load on users computers so for the 1's-2's that make it through, they block themselves while it communicates with my barracude to let it know about the new spam email that made it through, so it can block it if it sees it again. I used to waste 3-4 hours a day on this. Now it sends me emails with reports and I spend about 1-2 hours a week on it. If that. What do you all use and what would you suggest. I am looking for something I do not need to monitor for hours each day (i.e., false positives, new filters). ------------------------------------------------------ List Archives: http://www.webelists.com/cgi/lyris.pl?enter=exchangelist Exchange Newsletters: http://www.msexchange.org/pages/newsletter.asp Exchange FAQ: http://www.msexchange.org/pages/larticle.asp?type=FAQ ------------------------------------------------------ Other Internet Software Marketing Sites: World of Windows Networking: http://www.windowsnetworking.com Leading Network Software Directory: http://www.serverfiles.com No.1 ISA Server Resource Site: http://www.isaserver.org Windows Security Resource Site: http://www.windowsecurity.com/ Network Security Library: http://www.secinf.net/ Windows 2000/NT Fax Solutions: http://www.ntfaxfaq.com ------------------------------------------------------ You are currently subscribed to this MSEXchange.org Discussion List as: bsanmiguel@xxxxxxxxxxxxx To unsubscribe visit http://www.webelists.com/cgi/lyris.pl?enter=exchangelist Report abuse to listadmin@xxxxxxxxxxxxxx
